A change of duties in the Dean’s Office of our Faculty was held on January 5, 2026. The position of Dean was transferred by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akif Kireçci to Prof. Dr. Gürol Baba, a faculty member of the Department of International Relations of our Faculty.

The handover ceremony was held with the participation of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Musa Kazım Arıcan; our Vice Rectors, Prof. Dr. M. Hakan Türkçapar, Prof. Dr. Münire Kevser Baş, and Prof. Dr. Yasin Söyler; the Head of the Department of Economics, Prof. Dr. Özgür Hakan Aydoğmuş; the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çolak; the Head of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Prof. Dr. Onur Ender Aslan; the Head of the Department of International Relations, Prof. Dr. Muhittin Ataman; our University Secretary General, Saim Durmuş; as well as the academic and administrative staff of our Faculty. During the ceremony, the academic and administrative activities carried out within the Faculty were evaluated, and views were exchanged on ongoing work.

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Musa Kazım Arıcan, expressed his gratitude to Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akif Kireçci for his contributions and services to the Faculty and conveyed his best wishes for success to the new Dean, Prof. Dr. Gürol Baba.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of flowers to Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akif Kireçci and Prof. Dr. Gürol Baba by our Rector, followed by a group photograph.
