“Introducing the New Terminology of Islamic jerusalem and its Field of Inquiry” is a new monograph written in English and Arabic by Professor Abd al-Fattah El-Awaisi, founder of the field of inquiry of Islamicjerusalem Beytülmakdis Studies; and Professor of International Relations at Social Sciences University of Ankara (ASBÜ).
It was published by one of the leading academic publishers in Malaysia, UUM press, which is a member of the Malaysian Scholarly Publishing Council (MAPIM).
This monograph was lunched in a special ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday 28 July 2018 and attended by Professor Dato’ Seri Dr Mohamed Mustafa Ishak, Vice-Chancellor of the University Utara Malaysia (UUM), Dato’ Abdul Aziz Sheikh Fadzir, Executive Chairman of Utusan Malaysia, a delegation from the Turkish Embassy, several Malaysian NGOs and academicians. In addition, the lunching of this monograph attracts a good publicity in the Malaysia media.
The monograph is not a study of the history or politics of Islamicjerusalem Beytülmakdis, but a serious and scholarly attempt to explain Islamicjerusalem Beytülmakdis terminology and its intellectually exciting and stimulating new field of inquiry of Islamic https://sbf.asbu.edu.tr/en/node/166/edit?destination=/tr/admin/content%… Beytülmakdis Studies, which was founded in the UK in 1994.
The aim is to give a better understanding of this term and set the scene for advanced research. In other words, the objective of this monograph is namely to introduce the terminology of Islamicjerusalem Beytülmakdis and its field of inquiry. It is also hoped that it will enrich the understanding of this inimitable region, address some of the sensitive, important and key issues on the subject.
Accordingly, this monograph has been written for scholars, academicians, intellectuals and the wider public who are interested in understanding Islamicjerusalem Beytülmakdis and its new field of inquiry.
To introduce this new terminology and its field of inquiry, this monograph discusses in chapter one the background of the new field of inquiry of Islamicjerusalem Beytülmakdis Studies since 1994. Chapter two presents the two new definitions: Islamicjerusalem Beytülmakdis and Islamicjerusalem Beytülmakdis Studies and the origin of the term. Chapters three and four highlight some of the latest progressive research and developments in Islamicjerusalem Beytülmakdis Studies.
In short, at this critical time in the region, there is an intellectual need for such a monograph.
